In honor of Wes and Macy’s go-to game “Truth” here are a few truths about me.
Firstly, as that reference may have spoiled, my favorite Sarah Dessen novel is “The Truth about Forever” I love it so much that my first car was named the “Bertmobile.” I read my first Dessen novel at 13, and have been hooked ever since.
I’m a “Disney adult” You don’t want to know how many pairs of Minnie ears I own. I love Star Wars so much that I had a first duel at my wedding instead of a first dance. I’m a Florida Gator grad. Go Gators! 🐊🧡💙 And a rare bread of human, as I am a sixth generation Floridian.
Here is a truth I really don’t think people will be ready for, I hate to say it, but I hate the beach. I know, as a Floridian and a Dessen fan that is sacrilegious! I will say, the only thing that makes the beach bearable is it is a nice place to read, especially if I am reading the latest Dessen novel.

Hey everyone! My name is Mikelanne, pronounced Michael-Ann, and no, my father’s name isn’t Michael, but good guess!
I grew up reading Sarah Dessen, underlining my favorite quotes, sitting in my room deep in my feels connecting with these characters. My favorite books were Dreamland and Keeping the Moon. I can’t wait to re-read them as an adult and fall in love all over again!
I’m originally from the Boston area, but I’ve been moving around for a while now. I spent 9 years in Orlando (I am also a Disney adult and I am not ashamed to say it!) and now I’m moving around the country trying to find the best fit. I Spent the last year in Albany and now off to Charleston!
My favorite sport is The Bachelor and I cannot wait for the next season of Bachelor in Paradise.
And finally, the most important fact to know about me, my dogs are my life. I am a pitbull mom through and through. My sweet boy Al left us last year and we’ve been loving on our new rescue Zuko since October.
